Thank you, Japan!!!

I'm sure many people know that Japan won the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011!!!

I couldn't watch the game because I was playing volleyball at a tournament that time.
But my friends kept me updated every goals US and Japan made.
I had never been a soccer fan, I even hadn't known the existence of women soccer players in Japan...
I feel terribly bad about not knowing them working hard to get to the point where they were able to win the world cup.
This is a great accomplishment!

Both US and Japan did great job competing  hard to get to the final and I really respect both of them.
Japan had played against US 25 times before and never won, let lone US was currently top of the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women's World Ranking, I had not expected Japan to win the title.
But Japan didn't give up even though they were 1-2 down.

Japanese goalkeeper Ayumi Kaihori said,
"I'll be delighted if our victory gives the people of Japan strength. It proves that you can achieve anything if you fight hard enough."

Japan, known as "rising sun", will always rises no matter how high obstacles are.

I just want to point this out;
I have no intention of depreciating the US's great achievement.

The great US soccer players helped me to believe if you work hard, you can achieve greatness.

  1. Congratulations to Japan for winning the FIFA Women's World Cup! They deserved to win this time. But I'm sure US played well too.
