Eco Emi Box: September

I just got September Eco Emi Box by mail!
I'm so excited!!

Eco-Emi, a lot of people probably know what it is though..., is a monthly subscription service that send you natural, organic, green products. It is designed to give us opportunity to try Eco friendly products.

Anyway, this month I got 9 eco friendly products.
*Organic Milk and Oat Bath by Aura Cacia
"These bath salts are so wonderful, they make you feel and smell so yummy! Skin-nourishing organic milk powder and skin-calming organic whole-grain oat powder combine with pure organic lavender, helichrysum and lemon balm essential oils to give you a complete aromatherapy skin relief experience."
****Too bad I cannot take a bath at home right now, but maybe I'll bring it to Japan and use it at my house in Japan next year.

*Organic Kisses Lip Gloss by Juice Beauty
"This gloss will give your lips the most brilliant shine on earth. They combination of antioxidant-rich berries, minerals and sweet agave will wrap your lips in radiant color."
****I tested this and smelled sweet and feels great. It has tiny gritters in it and shinny, not too sticky :)
What I got is in Champagne.

*Organic Eye shadow in Sandalwood by Lauren Brooke
"It's a neutral shade that can be worn as a natural all-over color for lightest skin tones, a darker contour shade for medium skin, or used as a highlighter for darker skin types. It contains certified organic Olive, Neem, and Raspberry extracts to nourish, protect, and soothe the delicate skin around your eyes."
****I personally don't like powder eye shadow because it can be messy to apply. But I will give it a try.

*Organic perfume in "Enchant" by Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques
"It is based in 100% Certified Organic Jojoba Oil. The scent contains a blend of warm, spicy essential oils including allspice nutmeg, Cinnamon and cassia infused with a hint of certified organic vanilla.
****I can definitely catch the spices but I'm not fond of this. For me it smells like incense that my grandma will use, if you are Asian or from Buddhist family, you would probably know what I'm talking about.

*Organic Lip balm by Bubble and Bee
"Made with nothing but the best organic ingredients and simply put "No Bad Stuff" It goes on buttery smooth and are a fantastic moisturizing balm to have on hand as we get into the cooler months."
****I love this lip balm!! It smells so yummy!!!! And it makes my lips so moisturize and smooth! I will probably buy it after I'm done with this.

Yes, I'm prego!!

Sorry if it disgusts you...

I'm now 5 week pregnant!!!

It was 4th try and now we have our first baby in my belly!!
How exciting!!!!

I've been checking out religiously *Thanks to wdmk and Jessica for introducing me to this website (^.^)
I haven't been getting morning sickness yet, and it is normal right?
I just feel tired and sometime queasiness, but not like I want to throw up...
People say you will start to get morning sickness in around 6th week.... I hope this is true.

I use to drink coffee everyday sometime 2-3 cups of coffee a day and occasional soda, but since last week, I stop drinking those have caffeine.
I still crave coffee in the morning but it is worth not drinking it, definitely baby is more important than my little craving. :)

My husband and I are so excited, oh and mother in law, too.
When my husband told her, she started jumping for joy.... that made me happy :)

I cannot wait to have big belly!!!!
I think pregnant women are so beautiful :)

I'm thinking to update of my pregnancy every week or every month.

Since I am a newbie pregnant, I am so grateful for any kinds of advise from you (^.^)/

I've been away from blogging for a while, because well... there is not really a reason.

Anyway, as soon as I hit 50 followers, I'm going to have my first giveaway!!
I haven't thought about what to giveaway yet, but probably something from my Etsy shop.

Plus, I will have a huge announcement later this week or next week, this news is personal stuff but I cannot wait to make it public!!!

Go Padres!!

I went to a baseball game yesterday.
It was my husband's company ball game day.
So they just left at work around 2 pm and headed to downtown, San Diego.

I'm always impress how great the company my husband works for.
They sometime have movie days where they go to see movies (obviously..) during work time, and go happy hours.

Anyway, San Diego baseball team, Padres had been loosing 9-10 times in a row.. so I wasn't expecting too much.

It was SD Padres v.s. SF Giants.
But in the first winning, Padres got one point from home run!!
After that Giants also got a point, but Padres got 2 more point.
Then Padres won!!!

That was a pretty exciting game.

What a cute shop!

My husband ( I've still not been used to calling him "my husband"...) found this site, Upon a fold, and recommended me of their tapehook for my jewelry decoration, because I've been thinking how I should storage my jewelry.

As soon as I opened this site, I was "awww"ing...because the shop is so cute, isn't it??
The owner is Australian couple who love great paper artistry from all over the world.

Here is what I want...tapehook!!

What a great idea!!
They are made in Japan and made of tracing paper that can hold up to 50g, which is approximately 1.8 oz.
They are great to hang keys, stationary, jewelry, and so on that are clustered on my desk.....
Beige/Blue/Pink combination is sadly sold out now but I hope they stuck them up soon!!

Other goodies!!

Mango Rare Cheesecake---Japanese no-bake cheesecake----

I found this cool recipes in a Japanese website.
Mango rare cheesecake and double chocolate mousse cake.

And I tried them for my friends' (Ta-chan and Nacho) birthday party the other day.

Today, I introduce you this Mango rare cheesecake recipe!!

Mango Rare Cheesecake!!
   Mango              2 (or canned mango)
   Mango Juice     120ml
Cream cheese   200~250g (I used one package of cream cheese)
   Heavy cream     200ml
   Gelatin               9g (about 2 teaspoon)
   Sugar                65g (about 1/3 cup)
   Lemon Juice      1 tablespoon
   Butter                50g (I used 2-3 tablespoons)
Ritz                   100g (I used about 15 graham crackers)
   Mint (for garnish)

1. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press onto bottom of spring form pan.
    Chill it in a fridge.

2.Smash mango with a fork.
3.Soften cream cheese in a microwave. And mix the cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and lemon juice into #2 (smashed mango)
4. Add some water into gelatin 6g (about 1 1/4 teaspoons) and warm it up in a microwave and mix it. Mix this and #3. And pour it into #1. Cool it in a Freezer (not fridge) for 15 minutes.
5. Add some water into 3g (about 3/4 teaspoon) gelatin and warm it up in a microwave. Mix it with mango juice and pour it onto #4. Cool it in a Freezer (not fridge) for 10 minutes.
6. Garnish with diced mango and some mint.

They loved it!

As I browsing through other no bake cheese cake recipe in the internet, I found out not many recipes use gelatin.
Other recipes may be easier than this recipe because they may not use as many ingredients as I used in this recipe.
But the mango in the cream cheese concoction was so good (^.^)
You can either smash mango really good in order to get smooth texture, or you can leave small chunks so that you can feel the mango in the mixture.

Please wait for the double chocolate mousse cake recipe~~!!
